Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Santos moved to California for college, where he initially planned to study math and science for four years. He switched courses and eventually received a bachelor's degree in theater arts. Today, he resides in Los Angeles and has ties to sketch comedy and improv rooted in the notable Upright Citizen Brigade Theater (the very same comedy house that launched the career of Amy Poehler and so many others).
With Gentefied, Santos stars as Chris Morales, one of three cousins working to keep his family's taqueria from closing down in a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood of Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. Deadline describes his character as "the prodigal grandson, a fun-loving, know-it-all, chef-in-training. Chris is a homegrown Boyle Heights boy who moved to Idaho at a young age and was abruptly introduced to Weezer and cow-tipping. His cousins call him guero for acting and looking like a white boy, which always leaves him wondering if he’ll ever be Mexican enough for anyone." - Oprah Daily
