Keba & The Usual Suspects - Juneteenth Concert

  • Villain Theater 5865 Northeast 2nd Avenue Miami, FL, 33137 (map)

Join Villain Theater on June 19th for a special Juneteenth celebration concert featuring musical act Keba & The Usual Suspects. This concert will begin at 11:30pm, immediately following Miami Lounge Machine.. Tickets are $10-15 dollars.

A modern blend of R&B, Soul and Funk, Keba Williams musical talent is reminiscent of classic artists like Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan. This pretty young thing with an old soul is the perfect example of old school meets new school. A Trinidadian-born artist with rhythm in her blood, she burst onto the scene after completing her degree in Chemistry, to follow her passion for music and songwriting. A singer-songwriter by trade, Keba also played clarinet, piano and steel‐drum growing up and has been entertaining crowds ever since she was 8 years old. Her first studio album, Wildfire was independently released in 2013 and since then Keba has taken Miami by storm, headlining venues such as The Stage, Avenue D Jazz & Blues Club, Rokbar, Le Baoli, Open Stage Club, American Rock Bar and Hard Rock Cafe. Keba has also done a series of live performances in the cities of San Francisco CA, Atlanta GA and Myrtle Beach SC. She made her international debut in April as an opening act for Jill Scott and Kool & the Gang at the Tobago Jazz Experience. This summer, Keba plans to turn up the heat with the release of her exclusive EP.
