IMPROV CLASSES
VT-1: Improv Foundations
Open to everyone. No experience required!
You can learn to improvise! In VT-1 you will be introduced to the fundamentals of improvised performance in a fun and challenging group class. We will get you out of your shell and onto the stage through exercises in acting, agreement, listening, confidence, and scene work. You will come out of VT-1 with a solid foundation of skills that improve your acting, public speaking, and everyday life.
This class ends with a live graduation performance at Villain Theater where you’ll amaze your friends and family with your new improv skills.

VT-2: Scene-Work
Now that you have been introduced it is time to go pro. Fortify your improv acting fundamentals and be ready for anything.
We promise that after this course you will have an arsenal of techniques to apply to every scene.
This course is 3 hours per week for 9 weeks of intense improv study and culminates in a graduation performance during Grad Night at Villain Theater.
The entire 9 week course is $285.
Prerequisites: Completion of VT-1
VT-3: Performance Intensive
There is no better way to start learning than by performing regularly. In VT-3 our students perform every two weeks as they hone their performance skills.
Learn the craft of owning an audience on the best comedy stage in Miami.
This course is 3 hours per week for 8 weeks of improv show format study. Students will learn one show type per week during class and perform every other Tuesday during Grad Night for the duration of the course.
The entire 9 week course is $285.
Prerequisites: Completion of VT-1, VT-2, and instructor approval
VT-4: Team Performance
The team, the team, the team.
Collaborating and building shows together with your very own improv team requires communication and time.
Learn what it takes to think with “one mind” and value each others ideas as your own.
In this 8 week course you will join a group of performers to prepare to join the Villain Theater professional company.
Prerequisites: Completion of VT-1, VT-2, VT-3, and instructor approval
ELECTIVE CLASSES
Focus on specific skills and acting styles.
Five for Five: Stand-Up Comedy
This is a peer workshop where you will develop your very own five minute stand-up set. You will work with peers to get honest and constructive feedback as you build your five minute set.
The class culminates in a Friday night stand-up performance!
Try out stand-up for the first time or hone your stand-up skills.
Prerequisites: Completion of VT-1
VT-E: Sketch
Learn to use your improv skills to develop and workshop written sketches.
Never experience writers block when you are creating scenarios from scratch all the way to honing your finished product.
This course is 3 hours per week for 9 weeks of intense sketch writing and production, and culminates in a graduation performance of your own scripted sketch comedy show during Grad Night at Villain Theater.
Prerequisites: Completion of VT-1 and VT-2
Pod Buddy: Podcast Production
Learn to develop and produce a 30 minute podcast.
