Is buying raffle tickets the same as making a donation?

Yes. You can buy raffle tickets or make a donation. Either way the money goes to help Villain Theater pay its rent and expenses during the pandemic. We set up the raffle as a way to make it more fun to donate.

What are the prizes?

The prizes will all be listed on the VillainTheater.com homepage. Scroll down.

Is there just one drawing for all of the prizes? 

No, we will be drawing as many names as there are prizes.

Can I enter to win a specific prize? 

No, all entries are grouped together. We are comedians, not tech geniuses, so we don’t know how to manage different raffles for different prizes. There is just one hat that all the names go into and you are eligible to win any of the prizes.

When will the raffle drawing happen?

The drawing will take place during the Live Anniversary Show on Aug 15. So tune in!

How will I know if I win?

Watch the Live Anniversary Show on Aug 15 on YouTube to hear if you win! Our host will announce the winners during the live show. We’ll also email winners and distribute the prizes in the week after the Anniversary Show.

How will I get my prize?

If you’re in South Florida we will deliver the physical prizes to you. Digital prizes will be emailed to you. If you live outside of South Florida we will mail stuff to you. 

What if I don’t actually want the prize I won?

No worries. You made an amazing donation to support the arts and we appreciate you! Just let us know you don’t want the prize and we will draw a new winner for that prize.

How does the raffle actually work?

When you buy a bundle of tickets, you get that many entries on a virtual list. During the live show, we will use a random generator to draw names from the list. The more entries you have on the list, the more chances you have to win. Each time you win, that winning entry is “destroyed” (removed from the list), reducing your next chances by one. It’s just like a real raffle.

Can I win more than one prize?

Yes.

What does my money go toward?

100% of your raffle ticket donation goes to helping Villain Theater pay its rent and expenses during the pandemic. 

Can I make a donation without entering the raffle?

Yes, on the homepage scroll down to the “Donate to Villain Theater” button.

Why is Villain Theater doing this? Aren’t you rich?

Nope. Villain Theater is an arts organization run by volunteers that hasn’t been able to operate in-person shows or classes since March. We need help paying our building’s rent and fixed expenses during the pandemic.
